I wrote this poem after a particularly difficult couple of years in ministry.  God spoke to me clearly during that period about who I was, and the need to be true to myself and a person of integrity.  Since being called out of that place and having time to reflect I have begun writing poetry regularly, this was the first poem I had ever written.  I have found the process of writing to be something that helps me work through all the feelings and emotions that constantly churn around in my head and my heart.
