Visitors to this website

When someone visits this website we collect standard internet log information. We do this to find out things such as the number of visitors to the various parts of the site. This information is only processed in a way which does not identify anyone.

Security and performance

We use a third-party service to help maintain the security and performance of this website. To deliver this service it processes the IP addresses of visitors to the site, within the scope of the law, to lock out those who try to gain unauthorised access and keep your data safe. The web server also keeps logs containing IP addresses, and these are deleted after 4 weeks.

Use of cookies

This site uses cookies as detailed in the cookie policy.

Disclosure of personal information

We store your personal information securely, share it only within the organisation, and take reasonable precautions to make sure that no one outside the organisation (except limited, trustworthy contractors who provide our website development, monitoring, backup and security services) can access it.

If you sign up to our email newsletter, the information you enter will be held securely by a company called MailChimp outside the European Economic Area (EEA). MailChimp only uses it to provide the services we specifically request, and does not sell it to anyone else. Otherwise we store your data in the UK.

Access to personal information

You can find out if we hold any of your personal information by contacting us to make a ‘subject access request’ under the General Data Protection Regulations. If we do hold information about you, we will:

  • give you a description of it;
  • tell you why we are holding it;
  • tell you who it could be disclosed to;
  • update or remove it on request; and
  • let you have a copy of the information in an intelligible form.

Making a complaint

If you feel that we have failed to meet these standards, first contact us in writing by email or post using the details on the Contact page. If we don’t resolve things to your satisfaction, you may go on to complain directly to the Information Commissioner.
