Each January ministers, leaders, elders, deacons, worship leaders, youth leaders – whole church leadership teams – come to The Hayes and are inspired and invigorated.
You are invited to join them!

We are pleased to announce that our annual National Leadership Conference will take place in January 2025 from Monday 13 to Wednesday 15 at the Hayes Conference Centre in Swanwick.

The conference begins with registration on Monday 13 January at 2pm, first session 3.30pm, and ends with lunch on Wednesday 15 January.

We shall have BSL interpreters for the main sessions of our event and for some seminars.

Chrissy Remsberg

Chrissy Remsberg is an American who has lived and worked in the UK since 2018. She began ministry in 2007, working for 6 years as a youth pastor at an international church in Shanghai, China. While attending seminary in Los Angeles, California she was a part of a missional community church planting team. During that time she also supported the work of Fiducia, encouraging and equipping churches to explore scattered models of mission and discipleship. She would co-write a small group resource to support this work called, Moving Toward Mission. Chrissy joined Beacon Church in Stafford in 2018 overseeing discipleship and training and helping Beacon to embed a microchurch model of church. She began leading the church in 2021. Alongside this, she now co-leads the Firestarters Network and has co-authored On This Rock: Simple lessons and achievable habits for church growth. Her second book, Scattered Not Small, is due to be published in 2024.

Ben Jack

Ben Jack is the global head of Advance, a partnership between the Message Trust and the Luis Palau Association that seeks to equip, encourage and empower the church for evangelism and stir the gift of the evangelist through small group mentoring, currently in 94 nations. Ben has written a number of books on evangelism - including The Simple Gospel and If Jesus Is The Answer…What Is The Question? – and is also known as DJ/Producer Galactus Jack. He lives in Manchester, England with his wife Naomi, daughter Halle and their pug Toshi.

Phil Knox

Phil Knox

Phil Knox is an evangelist and missiologist at the Evangelical Alliance. He is passionate about making Jesus known and the power of friendship. He loves learning and has degrees in law and mission and evangelism. Phil is married to Dani and they have two sons, Caleb and Jos. He is an avid runner, enthusiastic water skier and once broke the world record for the longest five-a-side football match. He is also an award winning performance poet and author of Story Bearer and The Best of Friends.

Lois Delong

Lois loves God, loves people and is passionate about seeing God's kingdom come to earth in every area of society. Based in Alive Church, Lincoln, Lois leads the Student and Young Adults Ministry for 18-30-year-olds across the church. Alongside this, through partnership with the local church unity movement and the NHS, Lois works across sectors in partnership around mental health to help communities grow stronger in resilience together.

Andy Glover

Andy Glover

Andy has been married to Sue since 1988 and they have lived in Hoole – and been at HBC Chester for the past 36 years — all of their married life! Through this time Andy’s role has changed considerably: he was Youth Pastor, then became the Pastor and now is known as the Team Leader. He is an accredited Baptist Union Minister. HBC is committed to the process of developing a Discipleship Culture with Missional Communities becoming one of the primary vehicles for expressing this. Andy helped set up and now helps lead a relational network of churches of all denominations and streams from Cheshire West and Chester called Link Up. Link Up has been described as a unity movement and it has discipleship groups for ‘church leaders’, prayer breakfasts, Faith Forums, leaders days, and oversees and facilitates number of “joint church” community projects across West Cheshire. Andy is Team Leader for Fresh Streams. When not working, Andy and Sue enjoy reading, going to the cinema, and eating out. Andy also suffers from an incurable condition known as Stoke-City-itis which renders him unwell for most of the football season.
