Vision and Values

Our vision

Fresh Streams is a word and spirit movement giving courage to leaders and leadership teams, to impact the nation for Jesus.

We do this by helping leaders follow Jesus with courage and authenticity, being rooted in His Word, alive in His Spirit, and released for Kingdom impact.

Our values

We are committed to making this vision a reality through:

  • We create space, inviting Holy Spirit to fill it.
We wait, listen, and follow the Spirit’s gentle move rather than force a moment.

    What does this mean?
We are unapologetically charismatic. We expect the Spirit to speak, move, heal, and lead. But we don’t hype or control. We steward prophetic spaces with reverence, freedom, and relational safety.

How do we live this out?
We aim for our meetings, conversations, and leadership environments to allow space for Holy Spirit to move freely.

    Scripture rooting:

    • “Do not quench the Spirit. Do not despise prophecies, but test everything; hold fast what is good.” – 1 Thessalonians 5:19–21

    • “Everything should be done in a fitting and orderly way.” – 1 Corinthians 14:40

    • “Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.” – 2 Corinthians 3:17

  • We dig deep, and stay open.
We dwell in the richness of Scripture to be transformed, not just informed.

    What does this mean?

We ensure our lives and leadership are shaped by Scripture. We dig deeply into biblical truth, not just for knowledge, but for wisdom and transformation. We pursue theological depth and curiosity to understand God’s Word in every ministry context and empower others to engage it practically. We trust the Word but don’t weaponise it. We honour Scripture while remaining open, humble, and teachable, especially across differences. We are thinking Charismatics.

    How we live this out:

We allow the Word to continually challenge us, and ensure we aren’t merely using it to reinforce our preconceptions.

    Scripture rooting:

    • “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly.” – Colossians 3:16

    • “Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.” – Psalm 119:105

    • “All Scripture is God-breathed... so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.” – 2 Timothy 3:16–17

    • “They received the word with all eagerness, examining the Scriptures daily...” – Acts 17:11

  • We are Jesus followers first, leaders second.
We invest in who we are becoming in Christ, to be examples worth following.

    What does this mean?

We care more about who leaders are becoming than what they are producing. Leaders are followers of Christ before anything else, so we prioritise resourcing personal growth and discipleship over skill building, in order that we lead lives that are worth following. We lead from depth, not just skill.

How do we live this out?

We aim to develop leaders who are true disciples of Christ in all spheres of leadership.

    Scripture rooting:

    • “Follow my example, as I follow the example of Christ.” – 1 Corinthians 11:1

    • “Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.” – Matthew 4:19

    • “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations…” – Matthew 28:19

    • “Shepherd the flock… not because you must, but because you are willing…” – 1 Peter 5:2

  • Be seen. Be known. Be valued
We choose unity in our difference, trusting in our shared mission, cheering each other on to step into God-given courage.

    What does this mean?

We build a culture of belonging where leaders from all backgrounds, genders, and church sizes are seen, celebrated, and empowered. Wholeness and healing are core to our community. We affirm women in leadership, honour different journeys, and make space for the overlooked.

How do we live this out?

We intentionally platform women, younger voices, the unseen, the under-represented, and those outside traditional paths.

    Scripture rooting:

    • “There is neither Jew nor Greek, slave nor free... for you are all one in Christ.” – Galatians 3:28

    • “Accept one another... just as Christ accepted you.” – Romans 15:7

  • Leadership is a shared journey, not a solo spotlight.

We lead side by side, not from the platform or spotlight. We believe leadership is shared, relational, and grounded in trust.

    What does this mean?

We value authentic grassroots connection as friends and practitioners in the mission of God. We journey shoulder to shoulder in humility; seeking to learn and serve one another, as leaders who live it, not just talk it. We want to prioritise real friendship over recognition, rejecting celebrity culture. We value the ministry of priesthood of all believers.

    How we live this out:

We lead from presence and service not platform and status. We walk with leaders in friendship through all of ministry.

    Scripture rooting:

    • “We shared not only the gospel of God but our lives as well.” – 1 Thessalonians 2:8

    • “Whoever wants to be great must be your servant.” – Mark 10:43

  • Pray and obey, boldly and bravely .
We hold expectant and courageous leadership for Kingdom mission, trusting God’s voice, even when it costs. We don’t play it safe; we pray boldly and take brave steps.

    What does this mean?

We step into leadership with faith and expectancy, creating prayer-soaked spaces for mission, renewal and transformation. We nurture bold faith and prophetic obedience, even when the cost is high. We are not passive in our leadership; we are actively expecting that God will do great things as we pray, worship, and serve. We are courageous in innovation, mission and faithfulness.

How do we live this out?

We lead with expectancy for God to move in power in our ministry; courageously asking Him for more.

    Scripture rooting:

    • “Be strong and courageous... for the Lord your God will be with you.” – Joshua 1:9

    • “Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more...” – Ephesians 3:20

    • “For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes…” – Romans 1:16

  • We link arms to multiply Kingdom impact.
We believe the mission of God is bigger than any one person or movement. We partner generously and release freely.

    What does this mean?

We embrace partnership over ownership. We know we cannot fulfill the Great Commission alone, therefore we partner with churches, ministries, and leaders across denominations and networks.

How do we live this out?

We prioritise Kingdom collaboration and building bridges in order to see God’s Kingdom advance.

    Scripture rooting:

    • “I planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but God has been making it grow.” – 1 Corinthians 3:6

    • “How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity!” – Psalm 133:1

Our priorities

  • Release and develop the full spectrum of leadership

We make space for all whom God calls: women and men, younger and older, from
every background and experience. Leadership is not about platform or personality, but about being disciples who others want to follow.

  • Pioneering, Planting & Mission

We champion Spirit-led innovation that takes the Gospel beyond the familiar. We support planters, pioneers, and mission leaders to carry the good news into new communities, cultural spaces, and unlikely places expecting lives to be transformed and the Kingdom to break in.

  • Emerging Generations

We support leaders in building ministries that equip children, youth, and parents to grow together in faith, creating homes and churches where the next generation can thrive. We are committed to the development of students and young adults, investing in their spiritual formation and leadership potential

  • Releasing a Holy Spirit Culture

We create spaces where the presence of God is welcomed, discerned, and followed. We value prophetic ministry, revival hunger, prayerful dependence, and Spirit-led worship. We want churches where God moves freely , not chaotically, where the charismatic gifts are celebrated not tolerated.

  • Prophetic Presence

We seek to both hear and embody God’s heart. Prophetic ministry is not only vertical (hearing God), but horizontal (acting justly). We stand with the broken, speak truth with grace, and pursue healing, justice, and renewal as expressions of the Kingdom breaking in.
